Extreme Championship Wrestling was the name that brought shivers of excitement down the spine of the Wrestling world during it’s original era.

The federation introduced the likes of Tazz, Chris Jericho, Chris Benoit, Eddy Guerrero, Rob Van Dam and Rey Mysterio to the Wrestling mainstream. ECW is often referred to as the instigator for arguably the most popular era in professional wrestling, the “WWF Attitude” era. Sadly for Wrestling fans, the company was declared bankrupt in 2001.

After successful ECW DVD sales and superb reaction to the “One Night Stand” pay per views, Extreme Championship Wrestling returned to television with a weekly show on the Sci Fi Network.  Initially ECW was granted a thirteen episode “summer series”, but due to the fan response and high ratings, the contract was extended until December 2007.

About ECW-Blog.com

With ECW’s initial future once again secure, ECW Blog.com was created to fully log the developments and surprises that the reborn incarnation of ECW will bring.

This Wrestling Blog aims to provide the latest Extreme Championship Wrestling news to the fans across the world.  This wrestling blog prides itself on accurate information and will not blog wrestling rumours.

The website in time will be a superb resource for ECW fans to look back through the previous month’s and hopefully years of ECW results and action.

ECW - Blog .com is 100% unofficial and is made by a fan for the ECW fans.
