Bobby Lashley emerged from the first-ever weapons-filled Extreme Elimination Chamber with the ECW World Title.
Rob Van Dam and Bob Holly (who replaced Sabu) began the match until ECW fan favorite CM Punk emerged from his pod with a steel chair, followed five minutes later by Test who bore a crowbar.

Punk’s chair was ultimately used against him by the hardcore veteran RVD. Van Dam flattened the straight-edge Extremist with a Five-Star Frog Splash for the pin.
With Punk eliminated, Van Dam faced a double-team effort by Holly and Test as Heyman shouted instructions to his hired hands. Suddenly, Test exploded into his cohort Holly with a ferocious big boot to the face and eliminated Bob Holly via pinfall.

Much to the dissapointment of ECW-Blog.com Test pinned RVD after a savage elbow drop from the top of Show’s pod.

Lashley speared his way through Test with minutes to spare before the entry of his final and most formidable foe, Big Show.

Lashley pinned the Big Show after escaping a chokeslam and spearing the 500 giant.

At the December to Dismember press conference, The Hardys issued an open challenge to “any team in the world” for the PPV.

Initially, it is not known if the team will be from outside of WWE, from RAW or SmackDown, or if it will be wrestlers from the ECW roster.

Their challenge was answered on Raw, where for one night only Johnny Nitro and Joey Mercury will reunite MNM!

On Monday at noon ECW fans will have the opportunity to watch the December to Dismember press conference on ECW.com. Joey Styles will host the event with ECW World Champion Big Show, Paul Heyman, Rob Van Dam, Test, CM Punk and Kelly Kelly scheduled to appear.

With just over twos week to go, the main event for ECW’s December to Dismember has been finalised, seing The Big Show defend the ECW Heavyweight Championship in an Extreme Elimination Chamber match.
The last episode of ECW on Sci Fi saw Bobby Lashley join the brand to become the final participant in the match.

The other participants are CM Punk, Test, Sabu and RVD.

It is expected that more matches will be announced next week on ECW on Sci Fi

On ECW.com Paul Heyman has announced that RVD will face The Big Show and four other opponents for the ECW Championship at the December to Dismember PPV in an Elimination Chamber match.

This is a suprising first for Extreme Championship Wrestling, as the Elimination Chamber has always been a Raw-Brand gimmick. The other four remaining participants will be determined through a series of qualifying matches over the next few weeks leading up to the PPV.

A poster for ECW’s next pay per view, “ECW December to Dismember” has surfaced across many an Internet forum this week.

It is not 100% definate that this is the final poster, however it has been well received throughout the ECW online community.

On another related note, the DVD release for the PPV will go on sale December 26th! Late Christmas present anybody?

ECW’s next pay per view, “ECW December to Dismember” is scheduled for December 3rd at the Augusta Richmond County Civic Center in Augusta, GA.

Tickets will go on sale on Saturday, October 21 at 10:00 a.m. via the venues box office and ticketmaster.com. Interestingly ticket prices start at $20.

The last ECW December to Dismember event took place in 1995 which was held in the ECW Arena.

Notable matches that evening saw Raven defeat Tommy Dreamer and The Sandman winning a triple threat over Mikey Whipwreck and Steve Austin to gain the ECW Heavyweight Championship.

The main event saw The Public Enemy, The Pitbulls, and Tommy Dreamer defeat The Heavenly Bodies, The Eliminators (Perry Saturn and John Kronus), Raven, and Stevie Richards in a Ultimate Jeopardy Steel Cage match.
