WWE.com has announced that Francine has been released from her WWE contract.

ECW original Francine first appeared during 1993 as a devoted fan of Stevie Richards, later becoming his onscreen girlfriend and manager and only left the company when it was declared bankrupt in 2001.

Francine had signed a contract to appear on the re launched ECW in May 2006, making house shows appearances at first and later debuted on TV on 1st August.

She acted as Balls Mahoney’s valet in his feud with Kevin Thorn and made her in-ring debut on the September 25, 2006 episode of ECW on Sci Fi, wrestling Ariel to a no-contest in an “extreme catfight”.

Francine’s release will be a bitter pill for some original ECW fans to swallow.
